Doel:
to show that fruit can be fizzed with carbon dioxide
Benodigdheden:
Several small pieces of fruit (seedless grapes or segments of mandarin orange are ideal)
Fizzy drink maker
Methode:
Put some of the pieces of fruit in the bottle of the fizzy drink machine - not too many or the bottle will not fit. Pressurise the bottle until the valve releases excess pressure. Leave the bottle pressurised and re-pressurise each ten minutes for a total of 30 minutes. Release the pressure, remove the fruit and taste. Compare the taste to that of the plain fruit.
Resultaat:
You will find that the pieces of fruit have quite a tingle, compared with the fruit which wasn't treated in the machine.
Conclusie:
Carbon dioxide can make pieces of fruit feel fizzy.
